At the latest Digital Twins Awards, organized by Twin+ at the BIM World exhibition, Sogelink once again demonstrated its leadership in innovation. Following last year’s Special Jury Prize for its dike reinforcement project in the Netherlands, Sogelink secured the Research & Development Award for its ground-breaking work in circular soil management.
Addressing a critical challenge
With much of the Netherlands situated below sea level, climate change-driven rising sea levels pose increasing threats to flood prevention and infrastructure resilience. A looming soil shortage further complicates sustainable land use, necessitating new strategies for excavation and reuse.

To tackle this challenge, Sogelink partnered with Dutch authorities across four autonomous territories to develop a climate adaptation strategy powered by digital twin technology.
